Sr. Visual Designer / Art Director
What we're looking for
PixelMEDIA is seeking a Visual Designer with strong interaction design skills who is passionate about solving complex problems while meeting business objectives and customer’s needs.
You are:
- Sharp with solid interface design chops and appreciate great typography, color and composition
- Able to apply user-centered design processes and methodologies to create quality experiences across consumer-facing websites and business and mobile applications.
- A ‘design thinker’ who understands the value of design and brand within a business context.
- Able to facilitate work sessions that engage stakeholders in the creative process.
- At your best in collaborative projects and able to meet aggressive deadlines to ensure the execution of creative deliverables.
- Highly skilled, with a comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices.
- A mentor and colleague, with a strong desire to share, educate and inspire.
Specific Skills
- Layout / UI design (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Project leadership / Design direction
- Familiarity with UI prototyping tools
- Solid background with web framework and technologies (HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
- Knowledge of After Effects or video editing a plus
Candidates should submit a portfolio demonstrating experience across a range of projects. The job requires a minimum of 5+ years visual design experience, specifically in the areas of user interface, web and application design.
